A postcard of the Hotel Tybee on 16th Street. This hotel was destroyed by fire in the 1950's, but the right portion of it has been converted to locally owned stores. The guests of the Hotel Tybee enjoyed the luxury of the hotel pavilion and bathhouse and a train station at one of the entrances to the hotel.

A postcard showing the Tybrisa bathhouse and Pavilion. A common boardwalk connected the pavilions on Tybee Island, and the crowds were so large that it was common for visitors to see many people that they knew from Savannah. Many young couples spent their evening at the Tybee pavilions dancing to the sounds of big band music
