Skeleton Ready for Removal

Each burial was labeled and photographed before it was hoisted out of the unit. This person was laid to rest in a flexed position, one clue for the archaeologists that this was a Native American burial. Caucasian skeletons were laid out horizontally, as if sleeping, and were found with tiny brass nails from the disintegrated coffin.
